Restaurant POS Comparison · Updated August 2026

Aldelo vs. Toast, Square & Clover

Every POS looks cheap until you read the check.

The monthly price on a POS website is almost never the number on your statement. The difference is what each system includes versus what it itemizes — reservations, kitchen display, online ordering, loyalty, each handheld.

Below is a straight comparison, sourced from what each vendor publishes about itself. Tick what your restaurant actually needs and see whose bill grows.

Build your check

Choose the capabilities a full-service restaurant typically wants. The check shows what each platform treats as part of the system and what it treats as a separate line.

Three questions worth asking every vendor

Including us. If a salesperson gets uncomfortable with these, that is the answer.

What is the term, and what does it cost to leave?

Ask for the contract length, the early termination fee, and whether the price can rise mid-term. Get it in writing before signing.

What is the total with everything I actually need?

Price the full stack, not the headline tier. Reservations, KDS, online ordering, loyalty, and every handheld — then compare the totals.

If I leave, what do I still own?

Ask whether the hardware works with any other system. Proprietary terminals have no resale value the day you switch.
